Upright rosemary grows beautifully in Pennsylvania but is not fully cold-hardy statewide. In Pennsylvania, upright rosemary typically grows to a height of 3 to 5 feet and a width of 2 to 4 feet. Grow them in containers and move indoors during freezing months.
Growing Conditions
- Soil: Requires loose, sandy, highly well-drained soil. They easily succumb to root rot if left in standing water or heavy clay.
