Mint - Spearmint

Spearmint is an herb in the One Earth Edibles line
Spearmint performs best in fertile, moist oil, full sun
Most mints are very invasive, so plant Spearmint in a bottomless container with several inches of the container above the soil to discourage runners
Keep mints separate from each other to discourage cross-pollination hybridization
Lilac-colored flowers are borne in dense spikes on the tops of leafy stems. Spearmint has a cooling taste, a delightful alternative for those who find peppermint too stimulating. Be sure to add some leaves to your fruit bowls and summertime lemonade. A key ingredient for tabbouleh.
